Lets make a SOCK STUFFY!

Hey Hi Hello!

This year I had a high request to make stuffies from my students and of course I had to oblige!

During my reasearch I came across this amazing YouTuber Maqaroon that has done sock plushes for a long time. I've linked a video at the end of this post!

These are some of the creations from this YEAR

Materials you will need:

  • Sock

  • Needle (plastic or metal)

  • Thread (Embroidery thread or possibly yarn could work)

  • Scissors

  • PolyFil

  • Sharpie

  • Buttons

  • Felt

** I've stuffed mine with PolyFil that can be found at craft stores, but another option if you want to create more of a sensory tool is popcorn, rice, or cotton balls

Quick run down:

  1. Lay the sock flat

  2. Draw a line across the sock, from the heel to the bend of the sock

  3. Cut on the line you made

  4. Stuff the sock with PolyFil

  5. Sew a running stitch around the the outer edge of of the sock

  6. GENTLY pull the thread to help close the bottom of the sock

  7. Knot off your thread and snip the extra thread off

  8. Decorate to your delight!

Visual Step by Step!
